Terms of sale
Last updated: 03/10/2026
These terms apply when you buy a pass to the electriQual revision portal. Please read them before you buy. By ticking the box at checkout you agree to them.
1. Who we are
electriQual is run by electriQual Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16283271). Our address is 2 Laburnum Avenue, Sutton, SM1 3QN. You can contact us at support@electriqual.com. We aim to reply within two working days.
2. Who can buy
Passes are sold to customers in the United Kingdom only. You must be 16 or over and able to enter a contract. A pass is for one person's own use.
3. What a pass gives you
A pass gives you access to every module, card, diagram, quiz and mock exam in the electriQual portal for a fixed period:
1 month pass: £9.99
3 month pass: £19.99
12 month pass: £39.99
A month means a calendar month from the moment your pass starts. A free sample of five modules is available without a pass.
4. No subscription, no automatic renewal
A pass is a one-off purchase. It never renews and we never charge you again. When it ends, you keep your account and progress, and you can buy another pass if you want one.
5. Buying a pass while one is running
If you buy a pass while your current pass is still running, the new pass starts when the current one ends, so you never lose a paid-for day.
6. Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling. electriQual Ltd is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged. Payment is taken by Stripe, our payment provider; we never see or store your card details. Your pass starts as soon as payment is confirmed. Stripe emails you a receipt.
7. Your right to cancel
The law usually gives you 14 days to cancel an online purchase. For digital content that starts straight away, that right ends once access begins, but only if you agree to this first. At checkout you will be asked to tick a box confirming that you want your pass to start now and that you understand you lose your 14-day right to cancel once access begins. You cannot complete the purchase without ticking it.
8. Our fix-it guarantee and refunds
We do not give refunds because you have changed your mind once your pass has started. We will refund you, in full or in part as fair, if:
you were charged more than once for the same pass;
you cannot get access to the paid content and we cannot fix the problem within a reasonable time after you tell us; or
the content is not as described and we cannot put it right.
To ask for a refund, email support@electriqual.com with the email address on your account. Refunds go back to the card you paid with. If we refund a pass, that pass ends. We may also give a goodwill refund in other cases at our discretion.
9. Your legal rights
Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it is faulty, you are entitled to a repair or replacement, or in some cases a price reduction or refund. Citizens Advice can tell you more about your rights.
10. Your account and devices
You sign in with your email address and a one-time code we email you. You can use your pass on up to two devices at a time; signing in on a third replaces the one used least recently. Keep access to your email account secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
11. Fair use
Your pass is for your own personal revision. You must not:
share your account or sign-in codes with anyone else;
copy, download in bulk, record, sell, publish or redistribute the content;
use automated tools to access or extract the content; or
try to get around the pass checks or the security of the portal.
Content may carry a mark identifying your account. If you break these rules we may suspend or end your access without a refund, after telling you why where we reasonably can.
12. About the content
electriQual is an independent revision aid. It is not connected with, approved or endorsed by the IET, BSI, City & Guilds, NET or any other awarding or standards body. Their names are used only to describe which exams and standards the content covers. We work hard to keep the content accurate and up to date, but it does not replace the official publications, your training provider or a qualified person's judgement, and we cannot guarantee any exam result.
13. Changes to the content and availability
We update, correct and add content over time, and may reorganise or retire material that is out of date. We aim to keep the portal available at all times but cannot promise it will never be interrupted, for example for maintenance or because of a problem with a provider we rely on. If a serious outage stops you using your pass for a significant part of its length, contact us and we will extend your pass or refund you fairly.
14. Promotion codes
We may offer promotion codes. Each code says what it gives, which passes it applies to and when it expires. Personal codes are single-use and for the named recipient only. Shared codes are limited to one use per customer. Codes cannot be exchanged for cash or combined with other codes, and a code used to get a free pass gives no right to a refund.
15. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for business losses (the portal is for personal revision), or for exam results. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
16. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. This permanently removes your account, progress and devices, and ends any pass you hold, including time not yet used. We keep payment records for as long as the law requires (see our privacy policy).
17. Complaints and governing law
If you are unhappy, email support@electriqual.com and we will try to put things right. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or in the courts of Scotland or Northern Ireland if you live there.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example to reflect changes in the law or in how the portal works. The terms that apply to a purchase are the ones shown when you bought it. If a change materially affects a pass you already hold, we will tell you by email first.
